Shaun Crawford is an award-winning composer and orchestrator whose music is distinguished by expressive lyricism, richly detailed orchestration, and a deep commitment to emotional storytelling. Whether writing for film, television, games, or the concert hall, his work is united by an emotional honesty that resonates across genres.
Recent highlights include orchestrations for John Powell’s score to That Christmas (dir. Simon Otto) for Netflix, as well as Danny Elfman’s Suite for Chamber Orchestra, which premiered at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. He served as lead orchestrator and additional composer on the Netflix feature Seal Team, co-orchestrated the acclaimed strategy game Manor Lords, and contributed additional music to Netflix’s Jungle Beat: The Movie. In 2026, he served as arranger and orchestrator for Homage to Ennio Morricone, the closing gala concert of the Ponta Lopud Film Festival, performed by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra with Grammy Award-winning vocalist Thana Alexa.
Shaun’s work regularly brings him together with internationally renowned orchestras and ensembles, recording at some of the world’s most renowned studios, including Fox Studios in Los Angeles, AIR Studios in London, and Abbey Road Studios.
He studied piano under Darius Brubeck and holds tertiary degrees in jazz and electroacoustic music, as well as a Master’s degree in composition. He is an alumnus of the ASCAP Richard Bellis Film Scoring Program and was named one of ASCAP’s Composers To Watch, alongside Nicholas Britell and Emily Bear.
